    25.09.2020 12:15:00

In 1972, Victoria Dvornichenko graduated with honors from the Irkutsk State Medical Institute, having chosen oncology as a medical specialty, and started to work at the Irkutsk Regional Cancer Center, where she works to this day. Over the years of her work at the center, Victoria Dvornichenko has performed 60687 operations, published over 500 scientific papers and 3 monographs, implemented 11 rationalization proposals, 10 patents for her inventions are now used in cancer treatment. And on September 22 of 1995, she became the head physician of the cancer center. 25 years have passed since then, and on this significant date the congratulations, some of which are presented here, tell us about her work and achievements:

Alexey Shelekhov, deputy chief physician of the “Regional Cancer Center” for the medical work:

    - I have been working with Victoria Vladimirovna since 1998, when I came to the cancer center upon her invitation - and this was one of the best choices in my life. My leader, my chief, my teacher, she gave me the opportunity to master 4 medical specialties. She is a very complex person: on one hand - very kind, and on the other, extremely demanding and tough. She knows the doctor's profession from the inside, and this is a very important moment - when a medical institution is run not by an administrator, but by a doctor who knows how to be an administrator. Another valuable quality that Victoria Vladimirovna possesses as a manager is that she works for results. Even her name says it: Victoria for victory. Viktoria Vladimirovna, you are not just a leader of our team, but a dear and beloved person, a real mother. And, as a mother, we want to make you as happy as possible with our successes and as little upset as possible with failures.

Rodion Rasulov, deputy chief physician of the “Regional Cancer Center” for surgical work:

    - Victoria Vladimirovna is a wonderful doctor who treats all patients with great care. She is the chief physician who built a large and modern hospital, equipped it with the latest medical technology - we have almost the best material and technical base among all oncological dispensaries in the country! - and gathered here some of the best medical specialists of Irkutsk. She is a leader who has no equal as of today. She is a restless public figure who constantly pushes forward the governor, the regional government, the mayor and all other government officials. I am happy to work under her supervision as a part of the team she has assembled!

Andrey Meng, head of structural divisions of the center in Angarsk:

    - During these 25 years, I watched how the center developed: it went from a small unknown institution and turned into one of the leading Russian cancer treatment centers. Now we all proudly say that we work in the Irkutsk Regional Cancer Center – so, thank you, Viktoria Vladimirovna, for bringing me here, leading me through life and letting me succeed as a professional and as a person.

Luiza Shipkova, doctor of the oncology department No. 6 in Angarsk, former deputy chief physician for the medical work in Angarsk:

    - Viktoria VladimirovnaI have known you since 1978, when you were the head of the department of the Irkutsk Cancer Center and waged a fierce fight to ensure that cancer patients were treated only in the dispensary. All her colleagues admired the courage with which she rushed into battle for these patients. I have also always admired her ability to foresee the future and think ahead. For example, many years ago she talked about the need to unite all oncological hospitals in the region into a single structure. I confess, that when it came to unification in 2006, we were terrified - but then we realized that it was a necessity. The city budget of Angarsk simply could not afford to provide us with all the equipment that we have today. There were times when patients had to purchase preparations themselves – yet now we had new wonderful personnel, all the necessary medicines! Thank you so much for this!

Igor Kobzev, governor of the Irkutsk Region:

    - Dear Victoria Vladimirovna! I sincerely congratulate you with the 25th anniversary of your professional activity as the chief physician of the Regional Cancer Center! Over the years, you have created one of the largest Russian centers for oncological disease treatment, which includes 26 divisions in 4 cities of the Irkutsk region. Your inexhaustible energy, optimism, willpower, enthusiasm evoke respect and admiration. You have gathered around you a close-knit team of like-minded people and professionals. You have established fruitful contacts with clinics in France, Japan, Germany, Mongolia, so that patient care is as qualified and complete as possible. For my part, I assure you that I am ready to support all your beginnings, and work on the construction of a new radiological building will be continued and completed on time. Let me thank you for your selfless work, loyalty to your chosen cause and your invaluable contribution to the development of healthcare of the Irkutsk region. I wish you good health, longevity, happiness and success in your work!

Andrey Kaprin, chief non-staff oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation:

    - Viktoria Vladimirovna, under your leadership, the Irkutsk Cancer Center has long become not just a dispensary, but a real scientific institution. You have been working in oncology field all your life and are a recognized leader of the oncological service throughout Russia, being a member of the presidium of the Russian Association of Oncologists. You are absolutely not an indifferent person; barely hearing the word "oncology", you begin to act and sparkle with ideas.

Alexander Kulagin, acting Director of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology of R.M. Gorbacheva:

    - This year the Irkutsk Regional Cancer Center is 80 years old, and for a quarter of a century it has been under your leadership. Your whole life is devoted to this institution. You have gone from an ordinary surgeon to the chief physician, and like no one else you know how to organize and improve oncological service in our country. Now your center is one of the best. We know of the highest surgical activity of your employees, and you also have the most modern non-surgical types of treatment for oncological disease patients with. You were able to organize a scientific and practical exchange with many leading cancer international centers, annually, under your leadership, major international conferences are held. You had the idea of creating a center for stem cell transplantation on the basis of the Irkutsk Cancer Center, and in 2016 this has initiative has led to the Agreement conclusion between our institutions and the appearance of a lymphoproliferative diseases department with a bone marrow transplantation unit. In that same year, the first stem cell transplantation was performed in Irkutsk. On behalf of the team of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology of R.M. Gorbacheva, I congratulate you on the 25th anniversary of your work as chief physician of the center and hope that our cooperation will continue to grow stronger.
